| NEST ON-LINE OF VENTO AND ARIA |
 |
Since the last winter two peregrine falcons Vento and Aria, are seen flying around the University area. Often, they spend the night close to each other, roosting on the top of the Economy Department building, but sometime only one of the pair is visible. They hunt the pigeons which leave around the Istituto Superiore di Sanità and during the afternoon they move to the Termini train station where the usually prey on starlings.
Vento is an adult male while Aria is a young female, which is still to young to be interested on male attention. Indeed, the female is to young for laying eggs during this reproductive season and for this year we can only hope to see them some times sitting on the nest or perching on the building roof.
If you want to see them you have to be patient and looking at them during the afternoon or, otherwise, visiting our video and photo gallery….
